American Community Bancorp, Inc. Announces Election of Dr. Barney R. Maynard as Chairman of Bank of Evansville

Evansville, IN, September 28, 2005 - American Community Bancorp, Inc. (OTCBB: ACBP) (the "Company"), the holding company for Bank of Evansville, announced Barney R. Maynard, M.D. has been elected Chairman of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bank of Evansville. Dr. Maynard is a founding organizer and Board member since the Bank's formation in 2001.

Dr. Maynard is a partner with Urological Associates, Inc. In addition, he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Urology with the Evansville Center of the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Maynard is a past president of both the Vanderburgh County Medical Society and the Indiana State Medical Association. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Indiana State Medical Association, was a director of Physicians' Health Network, and served as a director of Medical Assurance of Indiana.

Maynard is a native of Chesterfield, Indiana. He holds an undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University.
