Bank of Evansville Partners with the
Community Bankers Association of Indiana, Inc.

Evansville, IN - Bank of Evansville, N.A., recently announced its affiliation with the Community Bankers Association of Indiana, Inc.

CBAI was founded in 1972 with the exclusive purpose of representing small, locally owned and operated banks regarding cross county line banking. From that single purpose beginning, CBAI has developed into a multi-faceted trade association exclusively representing the interests of Indiana domiciled financial institutions.

"Our affiliation with the Community Bankers Association allows Bank of Evansville to network with other area community banks to leverage competitive rates and services for Evansville bankers," said Tom Austerman, Bank of Evansville president. "We are very excited about how this affiliation with CBAI will bring numerous banking advantages to our community and the Evansville economy."

CBAI has led the effort in Indiana to provide members with discounted group buying of a variety of products and services. In addition to the network of Indiana community banks, CBAI also provides educational training, money saving endorsements, and legislative and regulatory representation to its affiliates.

CBAI, a member of the Independent Community Bankers of America, effectively promotes the interest of Indiana financial institutions with similar community oriented backgrounds. The values of this affiliation may be best summarized in a previous ICBA annual report which said, "lighthouses have been America's landmarks for centuries, steadfast and reassuring beacons that signal the location shoals and safe harbors. Like these lighthouses, the ICBA has been a reliable beacon for over 70 years for community bankers."
