Bank of Evansville Joins Indiana Bankers Association

Evansville, IN - Bank of Evansville, N.A., recently announced its affiliation with the Indiana Bankers Association.

The Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) is a trade association representing and supporting the banks and thrifts of Indiana, helping them to compete effectively. The IBA provides services to its members in the areas of legislative and regulatory activities, education and training programs, and communication and information services.

"The Indiana Bankers Association has been an invaluable resource for us as we are developing the business at Bank of Evansville," said Tom Austerman, Bank of Evansville president. "I am certain that the strength that has developed in this newly organized bank is due in part to the support we have received from IBA."

The IBA, founded in 1897, performs several communication and information services to area bank members. Hoosier Banker magazine, the Association's monthly trade publication, is available free of charge to any employee or director of an IBA member institution. Members also may receive regular legislative updates, regulatory reviews and protective bulletins. In addition, the IBA offers the Indiana Financial Institution Directory, updated annually, with comprehensive information about all Indiana financial institutions.

Bank of Evansville, the area's newest community bank, opened its doors to the public on July 2, 2001. After its first quarter of operation, BofE reported $48.0 million in assets. The full-service bank focuses on quality service and superior banking products for Evansville area businesses and consumers.
