Bank of Evansville Elects Two New Directors
Evansville, IN - Jack A. Strassweg of Evansville and Barbara L. McKenzie of El Dorado, Illinois were both elected to the Bank of Evansville board of directors on February 26, 2002.
Strassweg, a long time resident of Evansville, is currently the President of Basden's American RV Center. Prior to that, he spent the majority of his life in the insurance industry, serving as president and CEO of the Ashby-Rauscher Insurance Agency until his retirement in 1992.
"Jack Strassweg is highly respected in this community for his extremely successful business career," noted Tom Austerman, Bank of Evansville President. "We are very fortunate to have him become a part of our bank's board. He brings a great knowledge of the Evansville market and an expertise of local business to our board table."
McKenzie currently serves as Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Banterra Corp, a bank holding company in Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky, where she began her banking career in 1984 in the operations department. During her tenure with Banterra, she has been involved in the development of centralized operations, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and technology development.
McKenzie received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Evansville in 1980, a Certified Public Account certification in January of 1984, and a Master of Business Administration Degree in 1991 from Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville, IL).
"The addition of Barbara McKenzie to our board brings a multitude of banking knowledge and operational experience," said Austerman. "With her credentials as an experienced banker, the financial oversight and judgment she brings to the board will definitely enhance our business."
